Reunited! and it feels so good!

Today I decided it was time I spent what was left of my money. I got up and went to Koh San Road and looked for some pressies. I found a few things, a little something for everyone; I then got my stuff together to send a package home. It was easier but more expensive than I thought. I also got a few things for Dave, Donna and Sophie. This was my last full day in Bangkok and I felt quite sad. I went back to the hotel for a bit but after a while, decided to go back out and spend the rest of my Thai money. I also had to pick up some laundry.
Whilst I was out I went on the internet and Jon was online. We got chatting and he said he Rob, Martyna and Lillie had arrived in Bangkok today. He told me where he was and I knew exactly where he meant. I finished on the net, paid for my usage and ran all the way to where he was.
When I walked into his internet shop I saw Martyna straight away. I was so happy they were here. The last time I saw them was on Koh Phangan and we had the car crash. We walked around for a bit and chatted. We had a drink and John explained that Rob and Lillie were out somewhere else. Jon and Martyna were actually planning to go to a local shopping centre with a Thai guy they had met. His name was Earth, so I tagged along and went to meet him.
We all jumped in a taxi and got to the shopping centre after about an hour of traffic jams. The centre was massive and there was a lot of screaming which we later found out was due to a Thai pop star giving a special performance. There were a lot of girls in their school uniforms, screaming and taking pictures with their camera phones.
We decided to eat so went for a McDonalds, the best McDonalds I have ever had! Then it was time to decide on what to do. Earth was going ten pin bowling with some friends, so Martyna, Jon and I went to the cinema. I talked them into watching a new Japanese film which I had seen advertised the other day.
Before the movie started a short film was played about the King of Thailand, along with the National Anthem. At this point everyone has to stand until it finishes – very strange.
Two hours later we came out of the cinema, unfortunately the film, Death Note, was not very good. The film wasn’t scary and the graphics weren’t that great either.
We got a taxi back to Koh San Road and then went back home, but not before arranging to meet for breakfast tomorrow morning. After a week of being on my own, this was the best way of finishing my time in Thailand.
