OFI Friday!

I woke up with a plan this morning. Pay for the next 4nights at the hotel, use the internet and post a load of stuff home. I did exactly as I planned and had breakfast by 11am. The only trouble was that I was running low on money. It didn’t look like I was doing anything spectacular for the ext few days.

I got a taxi to the Grand Palace which was amazing and saw the Emerald Buddha. I spent a few hours there and it was blistering hot. I took lots of photos of the temples and the detail on the buildings. I then made my way back to the hotel. I got a couple of magazines and a drink and sat in my room with a film. I fell asleep for about an hour.

When I woke up I decided to sort out my documents for Australia, when I realised my Nationwide Bank Card was missing. A few days ago, I realised the necklace that Claire got me had gone but I though I had lost it. Now it made sense, it had been stolen.

I went to the internet shop and luckily Mum and Dad were online. They called the bank and got the card cancelled. I spent the next hour back and forth from my room to the internet place, to the phone. I called the bank and found out that no money had been taken from the account, I called Mum and Dad to tell them that everything would be fine and that I am fine. Mum had been crying as she was worried sick, but there was nothing anyone could do now but wait for a new card to arrive. At least I still had my money. I was gutted, how could I have been so stupid!

What is it with Fridays!? The first Friday I got lost, missed my trip and got covered in ants. The next Friday I had my walking boots stolen, got badly sunburnt and Matt drunkenly yelled at me. The next Friday was the car crash on Koh Phangan and today I had my bank card stolen. I hope it doesn’t carry on to Australia or I might find myself going home early.

I went back to my room and cried, I don’t know why I cried as there was nothing more I could do. So I stayed in my room, I had not got the money to go out and I didn’t know anyone anyway. I was just going to pass the time until I fly to Australia on Tuesday. I soon fell asleep.
